(prerequisite: 1 Day 'real assessment' Workshop)

Once learners develop the ability to self assess and evaluate themselves using criteria, a more comprehensive understanding of strengths and struggles can evolve through the introduction of Portfolios. This workshop focuses on developing the participant’s ability to design and implement authentic Portfolios through a step by step guide. Participants will consolidate their ability to develop effective criteria for their learners within a ‘rubric’ format and will experience an approach which enables learners to
develop criteria independently. As learners develop their own criteria, select work samples, self assess and evaluate, set goals and monitor progress, they are empowered to become independent and self directed in their learning.
